Purpose | Beginning first in our own backyard, then moving into the larger community, state, nation, and world, we seek to obey God’s commandment to share the gospel message of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

Purpose: We want children and adults of all ages, in the name of Jesus, to be involved in making a difference in the world, one person at a time. 

We want to affect lives and brighten days by sharing Jesus’ love through acts of kindness. I (Kelli) have been a food server and have experienced my share of darkness in the world. One day in particular changed my life for the better through a dark way. I experienced rude and unkind words and actions that inspired me to start an epidemic of being the light in someone else’s darkness. I believe it was no accident that Pastor John’s sermon that weekend was on “being the light in the darkness.”

We believe that children, students, and adults of all ages would love the opportunity to share God’s love by brightening someone’s day.

Goal: To minister at places in the community that would benefit from God’s love and light.

LAST MINISTRY PROJECT – February 20, 2010 about 40 people from The Rock went to The Sheepfold Thrift Store. They cleaned and organized the donated goods and delivered several hundred pairs of new shoes. Deanne from The Sheepfold wrote:

“What a blessing it was that your group came to work at The Sheepfold ThriftStore. You did job such an awesome job! We rely on volunteers   regularly because our employees are so busy with customers at the Thrift Store, they don't have the time to do the cleaning and organizing of the store. People like you are important to us and we are very much appreciative of the time that you gave us. Please extend my thanks to your whole team that participated.

CURRENTLY SCHEDULED MINISTRY PROJECT – Beginning the week of April 26 through May first we care helping with the Windows From Heaven Rummage Sale (in honor of Melody Hicks) to benefit Children’s Ministries.
