Job Title: Event Coordinator

Hometown:  Born at White Sands Missile Range, NM. Raised in Santa Clara, CA. Now resides in Norco, “Horsetown USA”

Family Info:  Married Geoff Kahan in October 1992. Daughter, Rachel, born in October 1995. Son, Jonathan, born in July 1997.

What is the best part about my role here at TRCC: I am so blessed to spend time every day using the gifts and talents God gave me. Planning events for The Rock are extra fun because I always have a fun team of servants jumping in to help make sure everything goes just right so that the Lord can be glorified, enjoyed, and worshipped.

When I was saved:  Everything started to fall into perspective. I realized God knows the “Big Picture” – He always has and He always will. God gave me a love of everything Disney, and a desire to move from Santa Clara to Anaheim to work for the Disney Company. I was hired in as secretary to the manager of Finance and Scheduling at age 20 in February of 1989, not knowing that my boss would lead me to the Lord in March of 1990. Amazing how the Lord works all things for His glory.


One of the things I find most fascinating: God’s attention to details, from the cross shaped laminin that holds our body’s together, to the size of the universe in comparison to our little world.

My favorite place on earth:  On a trip anywhere with my family, exploring a new place together.

Best thing someone said to me: “I’m proud of you” after giving birth to our 3rd son, that we were advised to abort, but knew that wasn’t our decision, but God’s decision. So after a pregnancy that could have taken my life, along with my baby’s life, seeing my son born at 24 weeks to die – so that I could live, gave me a small understanding of how Mary must have felt seeing her Son die so she could have eternal life.

What makes me laugh:  America’s Funniest Home Videos – don’t know why people getting hurt makes me laugh, but it does. More important though, I laugh at myself as I stumble and learn what God wants me to do in life.

Book:  The Bible

Music: Christian pop songs, 50’s Era, and some of the 80’s Era on occasion.

Snack Food: The Javanilla Shake from Borders Seattle’s Best Coffee.

Time of Day: Bed time.

Recreational Activities/Hobbies: Travelling with my family. A day at Disneyland (actually – I like to take my laptop and work at Disneyland while the kids play). Addicted to Sudoku!

Sports Team:  Any team my kids are on.

Scripture: As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15.
