Mission Statement
The mission of The Rock Community Church, through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, is to love God through worshipping Him, teaching, reading, and studying His Word, obeying His commandments, and to love people, through ministering to our families, neighbors, and the world.
Vision Statement
It is our vision that the generations that follow hold to sound doctrine and pass on the true faith according to Biblical standards. We set forth this vision by standing against the temptation of worldly compromise that faces every generation and ours in great measure. It is our goal to hear from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, “well done, good and faithful servant.”
We believe that we are called of God to teach the Bible “line upon line” and to equip the members of our church to love God and serve Him in a way that demonstrates His love to people. Acts 2:42-47 clearly states the Biblical mandate for the Church … "They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer... sharing... [and] praising God..."
We believe that we accomplish our vision by:
the men of our church becoming examples of Jesus Christ to their families, neighbors and the world as servant-leaders.
the women of our church loving their husbands and children and keeping their homes in a way that glorifies God.
the youth of our church being given the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord at an early age and by being trained to love and obey their parents and their Lord.
the singles of our church being honored members that fully participate in the life of the church in worship, fellowship and service.
the unsaved members of our families, our neighbors and the world being prayed for fervently and the Gospel of Jesus Christ being clearly shared with them.
the church family becoming engaged in doing good to all men and especially believers; meeting their physical needs.
