Melody Hicks brought light into every life she touched. Her sunny spirit and deep childlike faith in Jesus encouraged her family and those of us at The Rock who loved her dearly. It is in her honor that we’re holding a rummage sale on Saturday, May 1, 2010 in our parking lot from 7:00AM to 1:00PM. All monies and proceeds will go to the purchase and installation of fire safe windows in our Children’s Ministries classroom doors.

• Team up with Light in the Darkness and help before the event to sort through & organize the donated items.
- Monday, April 26 thru Friday, April 30
- Two Shifts: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM and 12:00 PM-4:00 PM
• Help at the event by volunteering your smile & helpful hands!
- Contact Deborah Hicks at dmesna@socal.rr.com or 714.299.8028 to sign up for a shift to sort items!
- Contact Lisa Kahan at lisa.kahan@psalm61.org or or 714.779.8546 if you’re a strong man with a good back, and if you have a truck - that’s a plus - to help out by driving to the homes or offices of people that have large items to donate, but need them picked up.

• Your donations should be clean & in good condition. The rule of thumb is, “If you would be embarrassed for someone to know you brought it, then don’t bring it!”
• Donations will be accepted on:
- April 23 (9:00 AM-12:00 PM)
- April 24 (5:30-6:00 PM) & April 25 (9:30-10:00 AM & 11:30-12:00 PM)
- Monday, April 26 thru Thursday, April 29 (8:00 AM-4:00 PM)
- Friday, April 30 (8:00 AM-12:00 PM)
• If you have a large item you’d like to donate, but need to have it picked up, please contact Lisa Kahan.
• Please bring grocery bags (paper or plastic!) to use for customer purchases.
• We would also appreciate if we could borrow any canopy shades you may have on the day of the sale! Please contact Lisa Kahan.
